Adelia Parker-Castro , artist -educator has a MFA in Studio art, a MA in
photography, bronze sculpting, ceramics and fiber
arts, all with an arts education emphasis from Lindenwood
University. She also has a BA in Visual Communications, from Lindenwood College for Individualized Education. She is a Regional Arts Council and Webster University Community Art Training Fellow. She is presently working with
Young Audiences of St. Louis, in their Artist in
Residence Programs, St. Louis, Mo. and participates in community outreach projects with the St. Louis Art Museum, St.s Peter
and Paul Catholic Church, South City Open Gallery
and Art Studio, and other community out-reach programs as they arise and artist residencies at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana.
Her work has been selected for numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally
and internationally and published and collected both publicly and privately. Adelia is married and permanently shares her home with a "poetry man", two
of the most affectionate cats ever created, and
periodically with any number of her 7 beautiful and
"above average" grandchildren
